Writer & director Haley Bishop gives insight into her short film Forever Young:

Forever Young was born after watching many people of my generation attempt cringy tik tok trends in order to 'stay cool'. 

I thought it would be funny if there were consequences for such unacceptable behavior and given how terrible the fashion and makeup trends were for teenagers in the early 2000s, being forced to relive those years is a fate worse than death. 

Forever Young is inspired by films such as Shaun of the Dead and Jennifer's Body, where comedy and horror are often one and the same. 

When I reminisce with people my age about the trends of the 2000s, it's often summed up as a hilarious nightmare and I'm excited to throw that horrible nostalgia on screen. 

We've all had a tough year and right now I think a film that can make us laugh and maybe appreciate how far we've come (and we've come far) will be appreciated by horror and comedy fans alike.
